    Description

Here is an antique brass cartridge box that we came across recently..I have learned that this palaska is from the Balkans...used throughout the Ottoman Empire including in Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, and Albania...Circa 19th century...This example features a battle scene on the front...detailed overall..Hinged lid..Closes but there is some misalignment of the rim with age and use...Nice patina...Measures approx. 5.25" h x 4" w x 1.25"...As shown...Attached belt loop...This antique militaria is offered with no reserve...
This is an unusual silver spoon that measures 5 1/2" long and has a coin inserted in the end, The spoon looks and feels like silver and I will have it tested in a day or two. It is monogrammed on the back of the bowl with an intricate script mono. There is scratching on one side of the monogram where it was tested.  It was tested as sterling.
