    Description
    Antique, 18th century, circa 1750 AD, good quality Islamic Indo - Persian all-steel gunpowder priming flask.
    The priming flask is made of several separate elements of hand-forged solid steel, a crescent shape swelling steel body made of two parts soldered together and fitted with a pierced steel base and spring cot. The tap fitted with a stylized bird over the nozzle.
    Mounted with two pierced suspension loops and adorned with two elaborately shaped and pierced hinged panels.
    CONDITION: Showing age and usage
    slightly pitted with dark patina. Spring in working order, some old solder repairs. One of the suspension loops snapped.

    MEASUREMENTS: The overall length across from the mouth's end to the top is approximately 14.5 cm (5.71 inches).

    Antique 17th -18th century, Islamic Turkish Ottoman gold gilt copper “Tombak” Stirrup, comprising convex and flaring rectangular base with foliate sides and arched cross bar with elliptical suspension loop, with the original leather strap; the exterior side panels scrolled borders, finely hand chased and engraved with flower heads and stylized foliage.
    This type of the Turkish Ottoman stirrups has been used by high ranking Ottomans Army officials. These types of the stirrups are very rare and important objects of Turkish Ottoman Islamic Art and only a few of them survived to the present day, mostly in the most important world museum’s collections including the famous Topkapı Sarayı Museum.
