This used Antique Turkish circa 1900-1920 Incense Burner has a Crescent and Star which are the symbol of the Ottoman Empire as well as the symbol for Islam. This piece is pierced brass with solid brass ornamentation. There are three pieces: Stand, Bowl, & Lid. These kinds of brass brazier were used to heat the tents in Morocco, Turkey, and the Middle East, or used for incense burning during ceremonies. It is in good used condition and does show wear, see pictures.
- Stand with 4 legs 9.5" in height, 16" outer diameter, 9.75" inner diameter hole
- 2 Handled bowl 3.5" in height, 15.5" width with handles, 10" diameter at top
- Islamic decorated fitted lid - 11.5" height, 10.75" diameter (4.5" decorative moon/star handle at top)
