this lamp base, was a hookah base originally and later turned to lamp base by adding a hole to bottom. some gold paint and few turquoise gone because of the age otherwise in excellent condition with no brake , crack or chip
height of hookah base is approximately 10 inches , height including lamp provision is 20 inches
its signed and dated by order of Hadji Ali xxxx in year 1303 in Persian calendar (Hijri or Jalali) which is equal to 1924 (for Persian Jalali calendar) or late 19 century for Hijri calendar
Beautifully hand-illuminated Quran with an extra tri-fold hand-illuminated Islamic document included. Colors are brilliant, as shown.
The leather is worn, some splitting at hinges, blank ffep lacking, inscribed ffep is handled, some minor occasional handling marks, noted one tear repair, and last leaf laid to rear pastedown of binding at gutter. The binding structure itself is quite fragile and could use some attention.
