Antique Middle East Suzani Embroidery Handmade Decor

Description

This is an antique wool thread on a fine cotton backing Suzani decorative textile that was all hand embroidered.
Measures 2'9" by 3'11" and is absolutely authentic. The main ground is all hand stitched and pieced together from scraps, then densely embroidered in the traditional style. This is very old but still strong and sound. The more recent edge binding was both hand and machine stitched. There is general discoloration to the background, as pictured. This was probably used to cover stacks of belongings in a home or nomadic tent. I have several other embroidered textiles from the region listed separately, and I'm always happy to combine shipping.
