Description
Antique 17th century Imperial Turkish Ottoman Islamic Rare Turban ornament “Sorguc” of elaborate form of box-like construction made of several elements of gilt silver decorated with filigree granulation and set with various shape turquoises and color stones (possibly rubies and emeralds). Center mounted with a rectangular jade plaque inlaid with three shallow bud-shaped settings set with red stone and adorned with inlaid tendrils.
CONDITION: Showing the age and usage, a belt clasps added to the reverse at a later date, two stones on jade plaque are missing).
Since the pictures were taken in the studio lighting, the Sorguc is darker and not as glitter as in the photos.
DIMENSIONS: 77 mm x 46 mm x 10 mm (3.03 inches x 1.81 inches x 0.39 inches (excluding belt clasps)
