Antique Islamic Yemeni Arab dagger Khanjar Jambiya In Silver  With Belt

Description
Authentic Antique late 19th century, Yemen Islamic Yemeni Arab dagger, Khanjar Jambiya with belt. An broad, slightly curved, double-edged blade formed with a pronounced medial ridge on each side, the shaped hilt bounded with silver filigree strap and two silver filigree rosettes at the front ant two small silver filigree rosettes on the both sides of the hilt pommel .
A wood scabbard fitted with large silver mounting, decorated throughout with scrolling filigree pattern and two filigree rosettes. The back of the scabbard is covered in brown leather.
The belt's exterior is covered with black woolen fabric finely hand embroidered with coiled, gold, metallic thread, and adorned with nine silver filigree rosettes. The ends of the belt are fitted with iron buckle and a leather belt for closure. The backside of the belt is lined with plain black fabric.

Overall length with the scabbard: 26 cm (10.24 inches)
Overall length with the scabbard: 23.5 cm (9.25 inches)
Length of the blade: 16 cm (6.3 inches)
Width of the blade at the widest point: 5.7 cm (2.24 inches)
The overall length of the belt: 100 cm (39.37 inches)
Width of the belt: 5.8 cm (2.28 inches)
CONDITION: The dagger and the belt are overall in good condition showing its age and usage, blade slightly ragged.
The black lining at the backside is a later replacement.
