Pair 18thC Antique Middle Eastern Armenian Ottoman Copper Bowl Tray - Signed

Description

Being offered are two antique red copper bowls from 18th Century Armenia, both with inscriptions in Armenian that are probably maker's or owner's signatures. One bowl is signed with the year - 1769. In original uncleaned condition commensurate with their considerable age, with expected wear to tin finish, some soiling and oxidation. Rare and genuine items with substantial history and character. An unusual 19th century rectangular shape with engraved plane hammered leafy and floral designs. Islamic, probably Persian, traveler's pen-case with an double inkwell insert. It is made from Unknown Metal (not tested ) with overall pierced-work decoration. The case measures
10" long by 3 1/4" wide and 3 1/2" high. Very heavy.
